
Lesson From a Discontinued Podcast

I made a podcast during the intensive lockdown period of Covid in 2021. My main motivation was only to have something new to do while sharing my working experience with the young population in Vietnam.
In December 2021, I made my last episode and then shifted my focus to higher-priority projects. Being untouched for 1 year, my podcast has been gaining new and retaining listeners.
To my surprise, its audience size grew 10x, and it made the top 200 most popular podcast channels in Vietnam.
The main reason is I made only evergreen content that helps people answer their burning questions, such as: what to do when you think you are going nowhere; and what you should do if you want to quit your company.
I will not resume my podcast anytime soon, but this lesson will be applied prominently in my other projects and products.
